Spark Cleantech is a fast-growing and innovative start-up developing a breakthrough process that replaces the combustion of hydrocarbons in high-temperature industrial furnaces and in materials production with an alternative that is not only fully decarbonised, but also economically competitive and requires only minimal adaptation to existing industrial processes.

Following the successful deployment of an industrial pilot on a client site in 2024 and a major funding round in 2025, we are now building our first industrial standard.

Our ambition is bold: to address, by 2027, sectors that represent 10% of the global CO2 emissions on a multi hundred Bn€ market.

🎯 Your Role

As part of the Technology & Product department and reporting to the Technology & Product Director, your main mission will be to support Spark's technological development and the building of its industrial demonstrator by building and implementing Spark's testing and validation strategy.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• As Test and Validation team lead, developing and leading, with your team, the physical validation strategy for Spark's technologies, in close coordination with other business teams.

• Acting in a cross-functional role to define and execute the Product Validation Strategy, in close coordination with Architecture and other technical teams such as plasma torch, reactor, electricity, mechanical, control & command.

• Specifying, designing, procuring (or providing), and ensuring the availability of test equipment, in line with company needs and consistent with the schedule.

• Supervising service providers or subcontractors involved in the design and construction of test benches and in test execution.

• Defining test plans and ensuring their proper execution through close collaboration with other technical teams.

• Ensuring the safety of tests and of all teams involved.

• Supporting Spark's intellectual property strategy through active patent monitoring and the protection of new inventions.

• Recruiting, scaling, and developing your team.

🧠 Your Profile

• Engineer graduated from a top-tier engineering school, ideally holding a PhD

• At least 10 years of experience in the design and operation of complex test systems

• Strong expertise in system validation activities

• Proven ability to define, plan and execute comprehensive test plans

• Proven planning capability with a strong results-oriented mindset

• Experience in coordinating transversal teams and managing external suppliers

• Fluent English is mandatory

• Open-minded and team player
